Circus Afternoon!

Today we took the boys to see the final season of the Ringling Brothers circus downtown at the Veteran's Memorial Arena.  They loved the performance, and we had great seats!  They especially loved watching the high-wire act, the tiger tamer, and the lady getting shot out of the cannon.  We are so glad we were able to experience the magic of the circus one final time!

Connor's Pinewood Derby

Connor participated in his second Cub Scout Pinewood Derby today.  His car was black and contained a total of about 63 cents, superglued in strategic positions to add weigh and improve speed :)  He and Chris enjoyed building the car and prepping it for the race.  His car won all three heats for his Wolf Den.  He also won the prize for best design in his den.  Another successful and fun Pinewood Derby is in the books!

Quick Trip to Norfolk

Chris took a quick trip to Norfolk for training. He was able to visit several friends, including Jim Pappas (his former USNA and flight school roommate), Kyle Leslie (our good friend from Memphis and current helo squadron XO), and Tom Pickering (fellow VP-8 DH and VT squadron pre-XO) and drive around our old neighborhood.  1004 Fairway Drive looks great!
