Aaron's Party

Today we had a birthday party for Aaron since we were getting ready to leave for Knoxville on his actual birthday.  We made brunch after church, and he loved the waffles and strawberries.  He was too tired to enjoy his cupcake after lunch, so we waited until dinner.  He loved it!  We're so thankful for our sweet and happy one-year-old Aaron!

Road Trip: Children's Museum of the Lowcountry

Our final stop on our roadtrip was to spend the night on 4th of July in Isle of Palms, SC.  We woke up on the 5th and headed to the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry, one of our favorite children's museums!  It is located in an old train depot in downtown Charleston.  It was nearly empty when we arrived, so Connor had a blast exploring all of the exhibits!  Aaron loved the water tables, blocks, and toddler area.  I am so glad my parents got to experience it with us!  After the museum, we ate lunch and headed home, and we made it back in time for dinner!  It was a wonderful summer roadtrip!

Road Trip: Brosnan Forest

On our way home from Knoxville to Charleston, we had the opportunity to visit with some of our dear friends from our small group at Atlantic Shores Baptist in Virginia!  Several families (the Saunders, Maggiores, Jacksons, and Judds) were vacationing together at Brosnan Forest, a retreat / campground owned by Norfolk Southern Railroad.  We arrived in late afternoon and enjoyed a 4th of July picnic dinner with them.  It was wonderful to catch up with all of these great friends - we miss them very much and can't wait to see them again soon!

Road Trip: the Farm!

One day in Knoxville, we went to visit Elizabeth's cousins Len and Gary on their farm.  Grammy and Pop-pop kept Lenlee and Aaron at home and out of the heat.  Connor, Reagan, and Bella enjoyed collecting fresh eggs, pretending to be chickens, feeding the cows and chickens, and picking fresh vegetables in the garden.  Connor loved spending the morning at the farm!
