Happy Birthday, Aaron!

We celebrated Aaron's 5th birthday today!  We started the day with donuts that he picked out and ended it with a chocolate peanut butter cake and opening gifts.  We enjoyed lots of family time today, complete with a trip to the beach and lunch at Metro Diner.  We love you, Aaron!  Happy birthday to our sweet kiddo!
Donut breakfast!

Our Jacksonville House

We arrived in Jacksonville on the afternoon of June 20th.  We met our landlords and toured our new home with them.  Our rental is just a few streets over from our old house in Julington Creek.  We spent four nights at the Embassy Suites, did a few projects around the house, went swimming, and drove around the area while waiting for our household goods to arrive.  Our first moving truck (which was really the third) arrived at our house on Thursday, then the driver decided he didn't want to back down our long street (because he was lazy).  He spent Thursday loading half of that truck into a smaller U-Haul truck.  The U-Haul had to make two separate trips to get that truckload of stuff into the house.  However, because we had an unplanned split shipment, things like the rugs and the table legs were on the second shipment (arrival date TBD) while things like our Christmas decorations were in the first shipment.  We also spent hours at the end of the day Friday looking for missing high-value items and nine missing boxes (two of which were never located).  My mom stayed until Friday afternoon and kept the kids relatively busy.  The second half of our items arrived in yet another truck on Saturday.  Time to start unpacking and arranging this house...
Truck #3 arrives!  And promptly leaves after the driver decides he can't / doesn't want to back down our street!
Truck #4, load #1.  Finally, some of our items are actually going into our house.
This girl was really chill.
Diving into mountains of packing paper.
Grammy got the boys a slip n slide for their birthday present!
Thank you so much for the help, Mom!!
Truck #5 (the overflow shipment).

Look at that! More of our china tossed into a box without any wrapping paper around it!

Putting the Plebe Summer issued surge protector (circa July 1997) to good use.
Miss Alyssa came over to take the boys swimming and to visit with us!  We have missed her so much and are so glad she's still here in Jax!
Progress....these are all empty and waiting for people to come pick them up.
We love this girl and are so thankful for her!
