Fields Visit: Jekyll Island
We took everyone to Jekyll Island today since Emily's family had never been there. Our first stop was the sea turtle hospital - always a fun place to visit! Then we enjoyed a picnic lunch by the beach before we headed onto the sand. Although a recent storm had flattened the sand and made it pretty muddy, the boys had a blast swimming in the water and walking on the sandbar. Everyone except the drivers fell asleep in the car on the way home. We had a great day on Jekyll!
Someone is ready to go!
The boys collected almost 40 sand dollars. We dried them out at home, and most of them stayed intact!
Ready to go to the Sea Turtle Hospital!

Quick picnic lunch then time to play at the beach!

CC "Survivor" Lock-In
Last night, Connor and Chris experienced their very first "lock in," a "Survivor" theme event for the 2nd-4th graders at Christ's Church. We signed up for it several months ago because we wanted some fun activities on the calendar to look forward to once we moved to Jax. Connor was very excited about it! They spent the night doing all sorts of fun activities - games, crafts, singing, messy relays, etc. They slept for about four hours, and both of them climbed into bed when they got back home (which was fine with me since I had been awake several times overnight with Sarah. Aaron lucked out and got to watch a movie). Connor reconnected with Brady, a friend from VPK. It was a great experience!
