We had a fun Memorial Day weekend! On Saturday, we attended a Lowe's Build and Grow clinic, where Connor (I) made an ice cream truck! Aaron sat in the stroller and watched us and ate cheerios. Then we ate lunch at Panera and went shopping for a birthday gift. After naps, we hung up the new flag that we bought at Lowe's and put yellow ribbons on the flag and on the VP-8 pawprint in our front yard. On Sunday, we went to church, then after nap, we went to Tegan's house for his birthday party! Mr. Drew set up the slip 'n slide and the boys loved running through the rain and getting soaked! Then, they all made Spiderman t-shirts and door hangers for their rooms. We had a yummy meal of burgers and of course birthday cake! On Monday, TS Beryl made our day very wet, so we played inside all day except when we went out for a drive to get a soda. Here are some photos from our weekend!

11 Months Old!
Our sweet little Aaron is 11 months old! He is 22 pounds, 15 ounces and 30.5 inches long, which makes him the size of an 18-month-old. He is exclusively wearing 18-month and 24-month clothes (he and Connor both wore 24-month shorts to church yesterday), and he is still in size 5 diapers. He still has only 2/5 teeth (the top right one is about 1/2 way down). He just finished with 2nd stage food and has moved on to 3rd stage, along with trying all sorts of other "table food," such as pizza crust, sweet potatoes, bananas, strawberries, and watermelon. He has just recently started eating cheerios and puffs as well. He drinks a bottle of milk (thankfully we still have frozen breastmilk in the deep freezer!) for breakfast and after his nap for a total of about 16-18 ounces per day. He is a pro with the sippy cup! He still catnaps in the morning if he's really tired and takes a long nap in the afternoon (12:45 - 4:00). He is nearly impossible to change because he is so wiggly! He loves to play with the fridge magnets, my keys, balls, and anything else he can take in and out of a container. He loves bathtime and when Connor does stuff to make him laugh. He also loves to be outside and especially the swing. Connor loves to go into his room in the morning and after nap and say "hi buddy, you are awake!!" He is crawling really fast and cruises between the furniture and also pulls up on anything that will support his body weight. He says, mama, dada, and ball, and that's when he can get a word in edgewise. He also has started "dancing" by bobbing up and down when music comes on. He is the sweetest, most mild-mannered little boy!

Connor's Last Day of School
Today was Connor's last day of preschool! I can't believe how quickly this year flew by...it seems like I just wrote the blog entry for his first day! They celebrated the last day by playing on the water slides, eating a pizza lunch, and having an awards ceremony. Connor won the "Magnificent Manners" award, and we are so proud of him! Connor loved school and learned so much this year, most notably the words to lots of songs (Jesus Loves Me, The Itsy-Bitsy Spider, The Bible is God's Word), the confidence to pray out loud, and several Bible verses. He also made several good friends! We are so proud of our big boy!

See You Later, Daddy
Yesterday, we had to say "see you later" to Daddy for 6-7 months so he could deploy with his squadron. I tried to take a few photos of the boys spending quality time with Chris before he left, but we spent the weekend trying to soak up as much family time as possible. "See you later's" are never fun, but we know that Daddy is doing an important job, and we are filling our calendar with lots of fun activities with our family and friends. Connor and Aaron got special audio books from Daddy and daddy-doll pillows, and we are counting down with a Hershey's Kiss jar as well. We are thankful that he will be home for Christmas!
Spending three beautiful afternoons at the beach!
Watching the Elmo movie about deployment.
One kiss for every day Daddy is away...as Connor says, "when all the kisses gone, then Daddy be home!"
Lots of trips to the playground to play and feed the turtles.
Connor tried to mail himself to Daddy.
Daddy and his boys!
Wrestling and playing in the playroom.
One more trip to the zoo.
Lots of bikeriding and walks to the pond.
And lots of basketball games in the driveway!
Wearing matching jet shirts to church.
Helping Daddy move the Jeep and put on the top.
Helping Daddy pack his suitcases into the car.
Spending time together at the airport before Daddy had to leave.
