Saturday at the Zoo

On Saturday, we headed to the zoo.  It was a cool day, so the crowds were light and the animals were active!  We had a great time eating a picnic lunch on the train, playing at the playground, and seeing all of the animals.  Connor kept trying to find animals he'd never seen before, and Aaron really liked brushing the goats at the petting zoo.  It was a very fun zoo day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  Mike and Natalie joined us for dinner at Barbara Jeans on Wednesday evening, then Mom and I finished cooking.  Thursday morning began early with me running in the Subaru Distance Festival's 6k race in Mandarin with my friend Jamie.  I ended up winning the 25-34 year old women's division with a time of 26:51.  Then Jamie and I relaxed at Starbucks for a little while.  We ate a huge Thanksgiving feast for lunch, then everyone took naps, visited, and watched football.  We headed down to St. Augustine for our 3rd annual Holly Jolly Trolley ride!  Both boys were mesmerized by the lights and the trolley ride.  It was cold, but we had a great time!  On Friday, we spent some more time with Mike and Natalie before we had to say goodbye to them.  The boys and I definitely missed Chris but we were so thankful that we got to spend time with Grammy and Pop-pop and Mike and Natalie.  We have so many blessings and we are so grateful!

Oven Mitts!

It seems like Aaron has caught on to the trend of wearing oven mitts on a daily basis in our house :)  He's recently found the drawer where they are kept in the kitchen, and he's been wearing them on both hands!  I love my little guy!

Coloring Together

The boys are starting to play together a lot more.  When Aaron wakes up in the morning, he goes straight into Connor's room and pats his back until he wakes up too.  They play trains, cars, and blocks together and have recently even begun to color together!  I know this is just the start of many days of doing all sorts of projects together!
